Formally know as the Traverse City State Hospital, The Village at Grand Traverse Commons offers a unique view into the past of a at one time large scale operating state mental hospital. The grounds has since been transformed into residential housing, restaurants, and shops. You can still get a glimpse of some of the previous used hospital building thru the numerous walking tours that they have available thru out the year.
