For the past 39 years the Michigan Renaissance Festival has been entertaining event goers young and old with the various shows, vendors, foods, and overall fun atmosphere. Ive had people ask “what is the renaissance festival”? The simple answer is a place to escape for a day and just have fun. The entertainers do their best to take you away to a different time, and where else can you get a huge turkey leg? The festival takes place from mid August thru the end of September and to see it all it does take more than one visit, but in my opinion its worth the multiple visits.
